Ok... Then I guess that means no bearings on the ends. Just put cable through n lube the fittin that's it..

If you mean ball bearings, no. Only a very particular person should ever use ball bearings in water. the upkeep needed to keep them from disintegrating rather fast is just not worth the little gained.

Sorry I have not replied... But I would still take the shaft out and grease it for better performance... I have not had a chance to use my OSE cable yet due to faulty ESC...

Steven, do you think you would ever sell a hydrodynamic model? Basically tapered where it's close to the transom?

Do you find that area is dragging in the water? are you getting a splash from there?

Uh oh! The Momma Vaccaro is here! Lol, just playing. I have no true evidence of it dragging, I just question how efficient the strut is at that part. Don't take it as "bad mouthing" or anything like that but I am just looking to make the Spartan efficient.

no offense taken. I always look for constructive criticism. I havent seen that as an issue. maybe one of the gopro guys can stick his camera on that spot and see whats going on there.

Glad. I only got the idea because I have seen other struts that were tapered, even half tapered. Maybe I can just take a bit off with the mill. I think the GoPro idea is excellent, I am tempted to buy one... To be realistic nobody really tries to run there Spartan on edge anymore, at least I don't hear bout' it but I just don't know how much of the strut is "dragging".
