OSE Strut for Spartan - Dual lead teflon bearings and oil fitting.

OSE Strut for Spartan - Dual lead teflon bearings and oil fitting. For use with 3/16" prop shafts. Much smoother than the stock hard metal bushing. Bushings are press fit in.

    Nice,
I'm a bit unclear on the oil fitting. Is the idea to connect a small oil reservoir to the fitting using tubing?

Sure, or just a simple place to get the oil to both bushings without having to remove the shaft/cable.

Very nice, would like to order one of these to have on hand as a replacement for my stock strut which has over 100 runs on it. Will this fit jeff wholts .187 cable for the Spartan? I am already running one of those with the stock strut and seem to think it might not work with this one since his cable is made to fit the stock strut, I think it has a 5mm shaft machined to a 3/16''. I could be wrong though...

No this will not fit. Its made to fit the more popular .187(3/16") prop shafts.

I just got mine and I must say I am impressed with the product! It's way stiffer and thicker than the original .150 stock cable. Can't wait to use it!

If I'm not mistaken this will work with the .187 cable correct? Nvm answered above.

In Steve's post it says 187 I believe he means .150 correct

Spartanator is referring to the entire system I sell for it. .187 flex cable, coupler and strut.

Just to clarify .187 is the propeller shaft size. That size doesn't have anything to do with the flex cable size. You can use whatever flex size that your boat needs. Upgrading the flex cable to .187 from the stock .150 will also increase the strength of the system.

So then the strut would fit the .187 cable?

Steve, do bearings go on each end or the flex cable just goes through n floats on those bushings?
