leopard and seaking wiring questions??

what kind of connectors am i going to need?? my understandings are the seaking esc180 is 10 awg wire so what size bullets do i go with?? and are traxxas connectors good for the lipos??? btw the motor is 4082 1600 leopard.

The connectors that come with the motor should be adequate, but as Dana has suggested, upgrading to 6mm bullets can't hurt.

Hey I have a quick question, leopard 1400kv motor on 6s, will a octura 447/3 and or a Prather s230 be ok? Or can I use both? Thanks....

im not sure what comes with the 4082, but my 4074 leopard came with 4mm. it did ok on x442 but once i went up to m445 they started getting real hot, so i went up to 5.5's. i guess it depends on how many cells and what prop hes running. i prefer to go on the safe side these days and just go a little bigger

I run 5.5mm bullets on all my batts even on the cars I use to have before I sold, so everything is standard. I keep things simple, 5.5mm on boats, deans on my planes that's it. I personally HATE the traxxas connectors, annoys me even more that traxxas gets there panties in such a bind over those stupid things... (me ranting ignore), but on my motor bullets I prefer 5.5mm on the smaller 3656 motors 6mm - 6.5mm on the bigger leopards and I have 8mm on the bigger castle motors. On that Leopard of yours I would go CC6.5 if you want the quick or if you have time I really am starting to like the 6.0mm bullets from Hobbyking. JMHO

ill be running 2 3s batts. where is the best place to purchase the connectors?? i just soldered my traxxas plugs tonight. how are these plugs with water???

Those are both pretty big props. The 1400 being lower kv should have more torque so it might turn them without problems. Start with the smaller of the two and watch your temps for signs of overloading. If possible monitor your amp draw.

I finally got to run my Spartan on the weekend with the 3674 1700kv, but so far I have only run an S215 prop, so don't have a lot to draw on to give you any insight.

Ok thanks! How did your Spartan go? Any issues? I know you'll post pics/videos but just curious...... I have the 447/3prop on there now and gonna run it soon...... Maybe this weekend. Thanks again! And good luck with yours !
