Steve, I think you are really barking up the wrong tree here...
First off... "professional"??? Give me a break. Most of us are just hobbyists just like the rest of you. Just because we get a little help, doesn't mean we deserve to be ridiculed for having some information to share.
Second, I'm not sure about the rest of the racers out there, but the majority of the boats I race are RTR boats, that I've tweaked and poked and prodded on. Hell, I've documented pretty much EVERYTHING I've done to them right here. When was the last time you say a "$2,000" boat in my racing stable? Do you think it's coincidence that ALL of the recent ProBoat releases that I've been involved with fit perfectly, out of the box, into the P-Limited/Spec classes??? I think I know a thing or two about "Ready-To-RACE" boats...
Finally, I haven't seen any of us "professionals" here slam this boat at all... I've seen us question the claims, and simply suggest that we take a "we'll have to see" attitude towards it. We've seen enough people get burned by these kinds of claims. Is it so bad to simply suggest that perhaps we should see if the performance lives up to the hype?
Hell, I've been thinking of getting one for myself, so I'd hardly say I'm biased against it. Just smart enough not to buy into everything I read.
As I've said numerous times in this very thread... any new, quality RTR boat that has the potential to be raced is a good thing as far as I'm concerned. I'm just hoping that the actual hull-length isn't over 34" so that it can truly be a "Ready-to-RACE" package, and not something that has to be raced in the next class up do to it's size. It's an also ran in Q-Mono/Offshore, but might be a good package for P-Mono/Offshore or for P-Limited Offshore, if the hull isn't over 34"...
