    28.7mph on 2S

Glassy water. Running 40C 2S in series. Calc with Garmin GPS. Run time 8:00 with stock prop.

New props should be in this week as well as two 3S cells. I'll see if she melts and makes it to 40.

    28.7 is granny.

You can get into the 40's easy with just a prop swap and not burn it down. It will more likely than not burn up on 6s before long and if you go any bigger than the stock prop it will for sure soon enough. it won't be much faster than 4s with the right prop either. Make sure you get a video of it though cause it'll be cool for a little while.

V-Spec... what do you recommend for a stock setup running a pair of 2s (i.e. 4S) setup? I am looking for a bit more speed, but really want to stay reliable.

I'd run an x445 on it, with the stock setup it should run pretty good. A grim 42x55 will run nice too.

            28.7mph on 2S...Running 40C 2S in series...
This is confusing, if the packs are in series then you are NOT running on 2S but on 4S. I doubt that the ESC would turn on with just 2S.

Saying "40C" tells us nothing useful. We also need the cell capacity to know much of anything about your packs. The brand helps too, some are well known to be over-rated. Like 40C/3300 mAh Turnigy 'nad-tech.

Yes, that is 4S (14.8 volts) not 2S (7.4 volts). On the slow side for 4S as others have stated. The packs are not the reason you're relatively slow, but they probably do knock 3-5 mph off the speed compared with newer, higher quality cells.

Slow b/c of stock prop, but gives newbies an idea of what she'll do bone stock.

I didn't mean to imply that there was something wrong, this is apparently a pretty nice boat. It is wise of ProBoat to use a mild stock prop to avoid overheating by newbies running for too long. Actually 29 mph isn't bad at all for a stock RTR.

Mine didn't run good with an m445 but it ran good on an x445. I've got a cut down x447/3 on it right now will see how it does.
