That sounds like a really good idea. I think i might have a way over there this weekend. I have a few good fishing rods and some pretty big magnets. I hope this will work. Thanks guys.

I sent a local diver out to find the remains of my 51" mono after an unusual wreck, he found it in about 4 minutes and i gave him the full $100 he charges for the first hour cuz i was so happy. I salvaged $500 worth so it was a good deal.

Solid stainless isn't. But try your stainless prop. Or even some silverware that says stainless.

Long story short they told me i would have to go buy a new boat. If anyone has any ideas as to how i can get a new boat from proboat let me no. I really don't want to have to buy another one. But if it comes down to it i might.

Yupp stainless is magnetic except for 316. That is how I got my prop shaft, flex shaft, and prop out of the lake when my home made coupler crapped out on my surge a couple weeks ago.
If the magnet doesn't pull it all the way out, at least you will have a much better idea of where the boat is and a guildline down to it if you find a diver.

There is usually a diver for police/fire departments.
We had a park ranger that was on a dive team who went in to find one of our boats.
Even took his photo with the downed boat with his wet suit on.
