    Esc keeps coming de-soldered

Anybody have any input on why the red wire on my esc keeps melting the solder on the connection at the battery? I know I did a good job soldering the connector on. It is the stock proboat 45amp esc and I have 5.5mm bullets on everything... Running 5000mah 50c 2s packs with a grim 42x55. This is very frustrating. I run about 3 minutes and done. Time to go swimming. all other temps are right around 100.

Sorry... I am using 60/40 tin to lead solder.

Try adjusting your strut. Where is it at now?

I was told to set the boat on a level surface and set up the strut parallel to the hull. So that's where it is at now.

Try raising it up 3/16 above the bottom of sponsons

Also, You should make sure esc wires are same length as eachother. Same goes for battery wires. Ex. You don't want red and black wires from esc to be different lengths

I am willing to try anything... All the wires are the same length. Just out of curiosity what effect does the little changes on the strut have on the wires? Just so I can wrap my head around what i am doing.

having the prop buried can cause the motor to have to work harder = wires and plugs heat up quick.
you dont want the motor to work so hard to move that prop. having it raised will obviously ease up the load the prop is putting on the motor, and will in turn cause less heat on the connectors and wires.

It is hard to say, obviously you are getting hot, have you resoldered it many times? You might try soldering it directly and see what happens.

Its not the esc to motor wires... its the battery to sec wire...ran again yesterday 30c batteries fine... 50c bullet came in soldered again. 5.5 should be able to handle it so I am lost.

Well throwing out random thoughts, try propping down but you should not be having that prop on stock 4S setup. Have you tried diff 5.5 bullets? Are you bullets a tight fit? Is the drive system free no binding? Strut set even with pads? Shaft/Cable greased well? They do make larger bullets. Are you settings correct for the PB ESC? Do you have the program card? Have you moved the motor, if so make sure collet isnt hitting bracket. Water running thru the cooling system well? Is it always the same 50C battery or has it done it with several diff ones?

Did you move strut up? Also shorten your runtime. Real simple
