Sweet I figured as much. I know Jeff Stevenson had been in discussion with them about the Jbs boat. The throttle man for Jbs brandon weppner use to live in my neighborhood. JBS was around all the time. It will be great to see Geico actually compete. I hope they stick with the mystic type hull. My opinion it is the sleekest smoothest ride on the water. I like they went back to combustion engines even if it is just temp. I have heard turbine marine has been a bit hard to work with and there has been significant improvements in turbine technology. No mater what they are running, that bright yellow beauty needs to be on the water!

I'd be so happy to see Aquamania, JBS, My Way and the others out there with Miss Geico more often. My marina hosted offshore races 3 years in a row and seeing that whole Miss Geico team firsthand was incredible and impressive to say the least. I too want to see Geico compete, it will be incredible to see 3 or more big turbine boats out there at once if/when that class fully materializes. Bringing the speed and grace of the turbine powered Unlimited Hydros to offshore is a dream come true. In the big water the Mystic is stable, but I've seen a few MTI's that gave the MG a run for her money in the smooth flying department, and incorporating the best of both (as I would imagine the Geico team is doing having raced both hulls) just might make for the best offshore hull in history.

Wait to see what the new real geico ms geico will be. It's just called project X . Same cross bracing as in the 5000R but it has sensors all through the boat to tell what it is doing while running
I think the other is just a replacment. They still have the MTI 44 that had same turbines. I think, not 100 sure it was for sale but not sure if they kept it after the fire here in Sarasota, it was sad to watch it burn. It went so fast and the halon did nothing neither did the fire extinguishers. Carbon and epoxy burns extremely fast it appears.

I've seen an ad in r/c driver: they claim stock speed 35 mph
top speed 50+ with optional accessories, which include 80 amp esc, 1800kv motor, ss prop, and certain batteries.

That's the rc one and it's called the black jack 29 if you go to proboats web page it has all the info. Same hull as geico Mec esc and motor. Not sure if it's for sale yet but it is on there page. I think it can run 6s to get you to 50 mph.
I was referring to the real miss geico, or the new one after the other one burned up here in Sarasota over the 4th of July. It's replacment may not be a mystic it's a big secret as of now.
I like the new Jb 29 but for the price you can get another esc and motor cheaper. May get the new rudder design it fits on geico as the mystic has a different hole for the rudder rod. Check it out on proboat. Has an 60 or 80 amp speed contol. Geico v2 may be similar other than the rudder.
