Mac thanks for the power sugestion,, all i have is lipos and i remember afting to clean them brushed motors alot and rather have a solid can brushless motor, not looking for super speed just thought a brushless system would be less maintenance and with alittle more power it would run alittle better!!Comment

I remember when I started with boats - all I had was 2 packs of 7.2nimh and a futaba stick type remote.
Stephen told me that once I go lipo, I'll be throwing my nimh packs away. He was right. Now it seems lipos are even cheaper than nimh.
I also had brushed 550 motors and my esc was also for brushed motors - I had those in my first 2 boats.
Before I knew Stephen/club, I was mostly reading RCGroups and scale tugs - so most setups were brushed.Comment
