Hit Ben up for the 180, see when hes getting more in.
Im running a Turnigy 120, 4S stock motor and a worked M445 and getting 44mph. I wouldnt see why 50 would be un-acheivable w/ 5S? I havent tried it as I run my boat in the LSO class and do not wish to change it, however, I may play w/ it one day just to see what it will do. Id have to go back, but I thought Darins run was on 4S and thats whay it was so "impressive".high 40s on 5S wouldnt be....

Just Pmd Darin. It was on 4SBUT, Darin knows his ish and knows how to seriously work a prop. Im sure 50 is do-able on 5S w/ the factory motor, its just gunna take some tinkering. I ran a 32" cat w/ the PB motor and esc on 5S and ran 52.7. Its on here somewhere from about a year and a half ago. 32" Imex Nichols cat. then it went
Heres a 49.3 mph 5S run w/ Proboat esc and 1500 Motor out of the BJ26. I changed the prop 1 run after this which was several weeks later and it made 2 successful runs before it bit the dust. this is in a 32" much heavier boat...
Sorry for the camera quality and filming.. its hard to do everything by yourself at the same time.

Using a Prather 230, on 4S, I was able to consistently run 46-47mph with the stock system, and I hit 49 at one point. Not sure I'd recommend it on the stock 45A ESC for very long, however. Looking at over 80A continuous.Darin E. Jordan - Renton, WA

Gens ace batteries from hoppypartz.com are awsome roar aproved and relatively cheap! I hit high 40's on 4s but changed motor and esc m445 prop seems to give the best all around performance. If you got the time replace the esc and play with adjustments you can achieve high 40's all day long with stock motor on 5's but there is a lot of fine tuning to get it just right and every boat is different in some way. Also keep checking the swap shop I found my 150a hobbywing and my seaking 180a there for very good prices there's always one every couple of days just have to keep checking and be first in line to get it. Also as most have mentioned upgrade connectors ec5 connectors for the battery and esc are great and 5.5 bullets for the motor are a must when you start playing with big vlts and high amp drawmiss gieco cc 1518 62.1mph Delta Force 33" cc 1717Comment

Also... This was using quality Thunder Power batteries. Don't underestimate the benefits of having REALLY good cells....Darin E. Jordan - Renton, WA

Deff go with the t180 esc after you kill that motor as I did on5-6s you can chage the bearing or get a cc1512 1800kv than you can run all you want knowing you have headroom with your esc and a quality motor with replaceable parts replacing bearings in the pb motor is a pain and the castle motors run so much more smoothlyComment

Kudos for sticking w/ it and getting it done. I yelled at mine and the Mrs said I had to fight nice or I couldnt play with it anymore

Cc1512 is nice but not enough power for my needs but definetly a good reliable motor. I've only had 1 outing with it but on a windy choppy day while taking on water (kept losing a cooling line off my esc) on 6s my best was 48.7mph with a m445. I'm sure with a few more adjustments no wind or chop id hit low 50's. Also the taking on water didn't help the matter never a zip tie around when you need one so had to call it day early. Ill give her one more try tomorrow before I move onto my next motormiss gieco cc 1518 62.1mph Delta Force 33" cc 1717Comment

I did all this with a bj and it's a little smaller for grins I put in a 1515 on 4s and a m545 and it's a different beast but that was reaching the hulls speed limitations in the bj so I'm moving on to project break a ul1
Btw 1512 1800 on 6s is plenty a handfulComment
