I see you have your rudder angled down a little have you experienced any bennifits from that? I left my strut and rudder the way it came out of the box but I have nothing to campare it to and don't plan on changing much since it rides so smoothmiss gieco cc 1518 62.1mph [/COLOR][/B] Delta Force 33" cc 1717Comment

Without a doubt in my book. Not saying you can't get the stock to work, but the offset gives you MUCH more flexibility with COG / battery placement. My batteries hang about 1/2" off the back of the tray, were it seems with the stock setup they have to be way up front, running much wetter.Comment

figured it out... just adjust ur strut tp bring the bow of the boat up and let it ride on the back of the pads where it was designed to run. it ran like a beaut today in fairly rough water. i couldnt beleive it. just spend some time with adjusting it. also my cog was about 8 1/2 inches from the transom. this boat really rides well on rough water too!!!Comment

Same here with my boat, no bouncing after installing custom offset rudder bracket.

Looking at this pic (just trying to help)
The ride pad needs to be DEAD FLAT! Sand it if you have to..
The sponson back needs to be sharp as you can get it. Add filler if you have to. (if you look at the light highlight on the boat you can clearly see this has a round edge.
The start of the ride pad should (or its best) have a sharp break and not a radii. I have not had a chance to look at this all the close on the model so take that for what its worth.
Happy Boating

If you guys look at my race-prep thread for this boat, you'll see that I did what Mike is highlighting on mine. You need to "blueprint" the sponsons... you can't rely on the Chinese fiberglass guys to do it for you!
It's pretty easy to do... just get some filler and do a little sanding. Check out my thread, and you'll see some tricks to getting the edges sharpened in pretty simple fashion.Darin E. Jordan - Renton, WA
