Nice choices. Your tests will lead you to the best prop choice. Just a suggestion,
you are running the 1st generation Kintec rudder off set. I think you will find the the lower section of the bracket drags in the water until you are running at at least 3/4 throttle.

That is the primary reason Kintec modified it - I have posted a picture of the 2nd generation bracket and a drawing showing in red the portion of the bracket that has been removed.

I suspect, like many of us, especially with the upgrades you are running you will find the the off set bracket is not necessary, and that shaft angle trim is the key :to proper trim and eliminating any of the MG "bounce." Be sure reinforce your canopy and tape it in place.

    Enjoy

From what Ive seen and read, you better re inforce the hatch and add floatation to it before you take it out. Id add 2 layers of fiberglass to it.

I was gonna get a noodle and cut it and shove it inside the hull but I'm a little confused about what you mean by add fiberglass to it??? I'm not worried about the hatch coming off as those hatch locks make a very tight fit although I'm still gonna tape it

Great looking MG. I have that same motor in my Genesis though I got the larger cooling sleeve that Steve sells. That motor can swing an x447 easily in the MG. I run an x445 in my Gen and everything is barely warm and it's a way bigger and heavier boat. Just make sure you run 30c or higher batteries. I run 5000mah, 20c packs when I'm in a pinch but they get a bit too warm.

I agree on reinforcing the hatch. Should of done that to mine BEFORE I broke it, lol!

Yeah everywhere I looked couldn't find the 40mm or 50mm everyone is sold out. I was lucky to find this through a post on this site or else id still be waiting... I will upgrade when they become available. What do you guys mean by upgrading the hatch and how??? I'm open to sugestions just not sure how to?

Some of us who have had issues with the hatch have layed a layer of fiberglass over the inside of the hatch to ether keep it from breaking or to put it back together. I broke mine on a blow over but it was just shattered. I left the window of mine without glass cause I like the way it looks and the fact tht when the boat is speeding by you can see through it.

Apparently, the plasitc hatch shatters in a blow over or wipe out in general. I was saying to add fiberglass matting to the inside to give it added strength so hopefully the hatch will stay together. One should always re inforce the hatch along with the hull IMO when building or buying a boat. It just makes it stronger as a whole and it will definitely last longer.Matting and resin can be bought at the local auto parts store.

That's a good idea thanks guys... it can't be a harder to do than say bondo or drywall mud... I would assume... oh and jb I'm running 2 2s 5000mah 40c right now and just ordered 2 3s 5000mah 40c so I can try 5s and then the crazy 6s..... so yeah deffinetly gonna have to do some reinforcement... you guys have some fast boats how do you keep it from the nose coming up and flipping over that's my biggest concern right now

Glassing is easy. This is how I do it. Cut your cloth first to shape. Once you're happy with the coverage mix the resin or epoxy. Apply a thin layer of resin or epoxy to the area that will be covered. Lay the cloth and squeegee it in place making sure to move in one direction, usually outward to get any air tapped in to go out the sides. If needed brush more epoxy/resin until the glass becomes completely transparent. Done!!

As far as keeping the boat planted, move the batteries forward. I run my batteries from 9.5" from the transom forward and adjust the further forward if needed.....good luck and have fun!!

Another thing to do is to add expanding foam in the front of the hull. Some dont like it,but if you get Great Stuff window and door foam and add it in small increments it makes the front end solid. To keep it from blowing over, move the center of gravity forward with the batteries. If you want to get an idea of the foam thing, look up my build thread titled "Triple Cat". For center of gravity ideas, look up my other build thread titled,"Larrys 32" Twin Cat".Im by no means bragging on myself,so dont think that.I just know you can get ideas from both threads.I also dont know how to link them or else I would do it for you.
