    70MPH PB Geico

Picked up a new Miss Geico today, also bought a few extra goodies to make her go fast. I'll be using a Neu 1515 1.5y 1500kv motor, X2-Thunder Power G4 45c Pro 5s pack's (3250mah), Octura x447, Castle Hydra 240, Octura Coupler and a few extra's. I would really like to break 70mph. I will post video's next week when everything arrive's.

To break 70 with that motor, you'll probably have to run 7s for some short saw runs. 6s should be good for low 60's though.

I don't know yet, I ran this same motor in my UL-1 with a hydra 120 and x442 an ran 60.1.

That's why I opted to the 240 and bigger prop, not to mention I had only 25c lipo's.... 6s May be a tight fit. I'm guessing the 447 will get me mid 60's easy. Just my opinion.

You will be in the 50 mph zone with that setup. 6S gives 60+ mph. To reach 70 you will need a higher pitch prop or a higher Kv motor.

Would it be dangerous to run the 1.5y on 6s and a octura x646? I'd like more than just 30 second run time's and this setup run pretty hot...

            Maybe 5s on the 646?

I think "Fluid" has a formula that sounds real close...
                5S will get you a shallow 50 with a 447, 6S will get you to 60...
Try 6S with a 642 and see if she don't run nice, I think the 646 might load it too heavy...
                Keep us posted...

FWIW, I have a 30" mono with a Neu 1515 1.5y 1500 KV + Hydra 240A controller. Been running for months on 4S1P + x646 (and sometimes x648, although the boat handles like crap). Can't get anything *warm* with that config.

Just started to run her on 5S. Did a 2:30 min run on x645, everything came back cool. On my second run the solder joining the flexdrive and prop shaft gave out (no other damange). Once I fix the shaft I'll plan to run longer on x642 and back to x645 if still coming in cool. I really liked the speed on that config with x645 and handling was manageable.

I've read some threads where 6S could be pushing the hydra 240 controller.
