As nice as they are at Horizion Hobbies/Proboat I don't think they'll provide much warranty consideration on this one.
I copied this from the boats spec page on their site. "Accepts (2) 2S LiPo packs or
    (2) 7.4V NiMH/Ni-Cd packs with deans connectors"

Thinking your 5s are a little beyond their published recommendations. I got a some 125A Turnigy to install to use when I add some more juice.

    Couldn't hurt to ask!

I installed the Kintec off-set bracket today ran both the stock prop and a blue printed x642, with the batteries a 1/2" back from the battery trays. No bounce!
I am going adjust the angle of the shaft to give the boat a little more air. Ran very flat, turned great, but the bracket as I suspected, throws up a lot of water up to about 3/4 throttle. That is drag! I am going try the octura spacers on Friday to see how they compare. I don't think they will create as much drag.

The install was dirt simple and everything fits perfectly!

I did the octura spacers myself. I only got 4 quick full throttle runs in but this thing was just flying across the water, I think the only part of the boat in the water was the prop and rudder, and it turned on a dime.

Put larger connectors on the motor and you shouldnt have any issues. Disconnect the BEC and run an external. A lot of people have been very successful doing so.. As I mentioned to you, I, unfortunately, was not one of them.. But it had to do w/ solder on the stock bullets letting go. I was also runing it in a slightly larger heavier boat.

Their is no extended data that I can find on that esc that would give the voltage range. I would prob say don't try it or at least wait until some further information can be provided on that esc.
