    Can i use lipo?

    hi!
i would like to ask if i can use lipo without to set with ESC from nimh to lipo?
is there any risk to damage the lipos or the esc?
can we change the settings without the programmer from horizon?
and something else also - do i have to change the flexshaft u joint?
do i have to go for a better Steerable Drive Sys ?

    thank u for ur time!

Not as long as you don't take the battery down too low the question is do you know when to bring it in.

If you run it to low ( the lipo) you could damage the battery. The lipo setting gives you a low voltage cutoff so you don't damage the battery by runnign the boat too long

          thank u again!
but because i don't have yet the extra programer for the lipo its better to wait till i get it and then i make the right set up program to use the lipo.
the manual says tha i can't use lipo if i don't change the setting with the programer?
          correct?

          thank u again!

Yes you can use lipos you just can't run it 10 to 15 mins and expect to be safe. Also do not run it at low throttle for extended periods of time. I would run it for two or three mins at a time then take some readings on the batteries to see how far you have run them down.

What boat/esc are you talking about? If it's one of the newer boats, like Miss Geico, etc, it's probably already defaulted to lipos.

The Horizon website says you need to program the esc to use lipos! So yes, you definitely need the little programming card.
