    New setup??

I just picked up a brand new blackjack 26 hull and hatch on flea-bay for 65 bucks. Any suggestions on the setup? I actually picked up an H/K typhoon 500 Heli outrunner motor (1800kv) and want to run it on 4s for sport. I have a turnigy 60 amp esc I think will work o.k. Just need some drive hardware and some prop advise.

lot of people use this from ose and I love it. I like running mine with out the turn fins, I filled in those holes.

Mine has the stock speed control and motor, I did remove the battery trays and the other good stuff.

An x642 will give you some good speed. Here's my BJ26 on the same setup, but I'm running a Seaking 90A ESC.

Next season, I'll be running a 2200KV outrunner on 4S to try and break 50mph reliably on 4S.

I actually got the idea for the motor from some of your posts. Sounds like the h/k outrunner is working well for you.

Oh! LOL...and I'm sure with some decent running gear that allows you to tweak the strut depth and angle more would provide a couple more +mph...won't know until next season though with the lakes all frozen over

But I think the HK outrunner on 4S in anything less than a 30" hull is ideal. I'm going to try running the HK outrunner in a UL-1 and a Miss Elam next season.

I ran the blackjack today with a ul-1 motor and octura m-445 and it screamed! Temps were low too!
