    My experience with auto bailers is that they can get "clogged" Eithe by debris from the inside of hull.ex. dust shaveings any residue left behind from the build.
    I have also had bits of plant matter get in there also allowing water to trickle in.
    If you are trying to plug the hole, dont comprimise.... Plug it add some glue or epoxy. If you dont want it to be permanent try some teflon tape.
    Keep in mind a temp fix is just that temporary. F/E and water dont mix. Plug it and be done and worries over... If not ur just waitng to let out the majic smoke.
