Running the bj26 with cc ice75 esc

    Hi guys,
I'm running my bj26 with cc ice 75A esc, stock motor, 5s 5000 mah lipo with bec, octura x642 and fuller's hardware.
I just hit a rocket 59 mph but the esc went very hot (about 210F). I switched to an octura x640 prop, the motor rpm went up from 27000 to 30000, and the esc temp went down to about 165F. the motor was only warm-about 130F.
I wanted to ask what would be a good temp to run the esc in that setup and in general, what's the highest temp you can run your esc without burnning it??
I think of maybe switch to an octura x637 prop?
I got all this info using the castle link as the esc has data logging (great feature...)
    Please assist?

Patrick at Castle Creations says that the ICE esc's can be run up to 250* but for short periods. At 280* the controller will shut down to prevent damage to the fets. I would try to keep it under 200* to be safe. If it runs to hot maybe you need to go one size up (Ice 100).

Patrick at Castle has this to day about the ICE in aircraft:
"The ICE controller will prevent overtemp conditions...boats are a little different -- because the surge currents are so high. In a boat it would be a good idea to keep the ESC below 150F."

A small computer fan blowing on the ESC would solve that problem.
