my fullers hardware has now worn where the rudder feeds up the hole on the strut which i noticed effected its track in the water when running 6 cells making the boat fish tail quite bad so iam looking for some help here
i know there is a small bush in the strut is this removable ? or even the shaft on the rudder is this removable ? if any of you guys have had this problem and have made a successful mod to rectify this please shed some light on this i am wracking my brains trying to improvise adapt and overcome this problem trying to source any everyday item that might suffice

waiting to hear from you guys ........

unable to send away hardware as in the UK but i have made a very temporary repair just now by means of applying some heat shrink to the rod that fits inside the strut seems OK but am wondering how long this will last my bet not very going to the pond tomorrow and will see how things pan out

There was a post somewhere here where someone had a similar problem. They used washers to shim it up.

I guess it would take up the play that would allow the rudder to "rock" from side to side. Have you considered drilling out the rudder hole and using a piece of k&s tubing to act as a sleeve?

                    maxamus.
Dom has hit the nail on the head. A piece of K&S brass tubing that fits snugly over the rudder post is the go.
Drill out the strut to the right size install the tube add a drop of CA glue to lock it in place. Then refit the rudder.
Note; there are a couple of different wall thicknesses available so take the rudder along to the shop & try them out until you find one that has no play in it.
See the danger. THEN DO IT ANYWAY!!!
