Strut adjusting jig for my Zelos

Made a strut adjusting jig for my Zelos. Used some aluminum bar stock Drilled and threaded a 10-32 Allen screw with a locking nut. I have it set at the stock 4mm now but it can be adjusted for whatever I want Looks like it will work on my Spartin as well. A lot easier than messing with the rulers

Thanks!. Not sure if I should shorten it to cover only the rear two pads. On my boat the peak of the center pad is slightly lower then the first and third when I put a straightedge on it

I would keep it long, and likely will as it is a stellar idea. I have been putting the boat on a flat and measuring and adjusting with calipers. Measure, move boat, adjust and so on.

Thanks for posting and I hope you don't mind me using the idea,
              Shawn

Not at all hope it helps. I'm fairly new to boating so I'm sure I'll be on here asking many questions. That's what these forums are for

That's a great idea and beats my method of trying to hold a straightedge and scale while adjusting the strut.

As far as how long it is, I would shorten it to just the rear pads. According to the Proboat guy the boat only runs on the rear 2 pads.

It needs to touch only the rear two pads. The middle pad sits lower, if you measure across all 3. You want to set your trim off the pads that touch the water while on plane, which are the rear two pads.
