put a k45 prop on it and should see speeds near mid 40's.

I'm only getting 35mph using a CF48 with some awesome lipo batteries..
Do I need a esc programer to get more speed?

Help, I think it should be getting more speeds!

                Brushless.
I personally think that a 48mm prop is too big & is loading up the motor which is keeping the revs down.
I think an Octura M642 or M645 will find you more speed.

                rcboatfan.
Try the M642 but the M645 may be too much for the nimh cells. Not sure on that. But for sure the K45 suggested by boatman is a good prop.
                Cheers.

Even out of the water is sounds to me like the motor does not hit very high revs?

It is nuts out of the hole!

Im not sure if you've ran the boat on 7 cells yet or not, but make sure you run a BEC with that set up.

Ok I adjusted the strut ( I think thats what it is called) because the boat acts like it is stuck to the water and picked up 1.5 mph, then my boat stoped! ahhh
the motor separated the front face plate from the can!
well I brought it home and fixed the motor.. I also noticed that my trim tabs are set low making the hull suck to the water as well. I moved them to 0* and will try again tomorrow..
