I have read the venom batts are crap, but they came with the boat so I'm gonna give them a try... i have the Octura x442 that I'm going to try at lunch today and am in the process of grabbing some ib4200's CHEAP...Comment

were in props so batts should be someplace else but the prob with the IB4200's is that cells fail very easy, when that happens the pack is done unless you rebuild it or something, the cell when working are good, just very delicate.
I have one of my boats on the table and will try a new prop today, I forget what it is but its a 3 blade. I recently tryed a 1740-3 and dont like it.Comment

No offense, but the 1700 series are not "awesome" props for monos, they simply do not work . They are the highest-lifting props Octura makes, and are suited only for hydros and perhaps a few tunnels with the right mods. Monos need non-lifting props for best overall performance - sport, oval or SAW running.

Tell ya what, if it dont work we can blame either the owner or a very senior guy at Octura, I forget his name but after a hour chat he gave me this prop and another one to try to fix my tight problem I was having with the TS2. My bet is it will work, I trust his experiance.
Trying it on the SV was just my idea, thinking Aquacraft sent the boats with a 3 blade so let me try it. And it did not work. Called a test.Last edited by ice329; 10-29-2008, 10:12 PM.Comment
