    Thrust bearings

    I any body running thrust bearings on their SV27?
    Is it recomended, does it help?
    Just trying to keep learning

    I do not run one on mine.
    This is the second full summer of hard running and the stock motor is still hitting 40mph. If your motor has alot of end play then I probably would add one.

      I figured for 7 bux and 10 minutes of work what the heck ill put one in cant hurt.

          I run 4 boats with the the SV system...all with thrust bearings. 2 of those have been strong for over 2 years of hard racing. In fact, the motor I have in my Spec SV has been in there for 2 race seasons now, and I still get accused of cheating because the boat is noticably faster on the straights than the other identical boats... not because of the bearing, but because the bearing helps keep the motor strong.
          btw - I love these motors!
          I think thrust bearings are well advised. I've seen a few endbells pop off.

            Agreed 1000x's over, should use one. Why Aquacraft does not is likely to keep the cost down but they really should.
