supervee 27 newbie owner

right.... well put in a decent order from kintecracing racing yesterday for upgrades for my sv27

which were...

grim racer speed grease
liposhield
antenna mount upgrade
batt/servo tray kit
red anodised bullet nut
latch upgrade
hatch tape
upgrade 3 pc collet
upgraded flexshaft
cf40 prop

so all in all a decent list,would appreciate any feedback/opinions on the parts ive ordered as most of what ive ordered is on the basis of "im guessing il need it"

one thing i was hoping to find is something to plug the antenna hole in the cowl as i thought it would be a common thing to want to relocate the antenna to either the transom or somewhere else without having a big hole left?

im guessing people just plug/cover it with glass strips or filler then just paint over??

Thats a good list to get started with, have you got the controller thats standard and comes with the boat? you mite want to change that...

i have heard some horror stories involving runaway boats... I've never had a problem with ths stock one, but now i got a tatic 2.4 ghz one

Its so good and it has a built in ariel so no need for any holes!

I used z poxy finishing resin for filling the hole, real easy to use and sands down well. I'll try and get some pics up soon.

where in uk are you from, I used to live in East Grinstead near Gatwick aiport.

the tx+rx is a losi sport 3ch 27mhz fm pistol grip one,havent been able to test it as the guy i bought it from didnt mention it needed a 8xaa battery holder with pp3 stud connectors so ive had to order one from ebay

gona look at getting another 2.4 radio set for it at some point

im from wakefield which is 15 mins away from leeds

btw do you know of any other members from the uk?

i did get a glimpse of your thread and it was very informative and helpful and also gave me an idea of upgrades i would most likely need but i also ordered stuff i "thought" i may need as id find it very hard to get parts for the sv27 here in the uk so thought i may aswell get everything or most of things in one order

just on the prowl now on ebay for a 2nd/rescue boat...seem a very nice traxxas villain ex so may go for that
