    supervee 27 newbie owner

hey guys, just won a supervee 27 on ebay here in the UK,im new to FE boats but run brushless buggies.

it was very much am impulse buy, altho i am interested in FE boats and have done a little research im still in the dark alot about this side of the hobby.

i have a few questions which i would very much appreciate opinions and answers on....heres goes

1.as stock, what are the limits of the esc and motor in terms of running lipos,i curently run 4s and 5s lipo 5000mah minimum, could i run these in parallel?

2.i have a spare castle 2200kv motor from my buggy, could i use this?

3.what is an ideal esc upgrade or any other upgrades that would help make the supervee a sensibly fast but reliable/safe running fe boat?

    thanks i advance guys

You can basically max out the hulls limits with the stock motor by just using strong 40c batts and a larger prop........they dont turn very well at all btw.
NEED PARALLEL CONNECTORS?? QUALITY 5.5MM, 8MM, 8 AND 10 AWG, GET THEM HERE: http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...est!&highlight=

          thanks...
ive no idea what prop to use to be honest as im not to knowledgable yet on props, from what ive read on here so far the CF45 and 42x55 seem popular.

basically id like a fast set up but would also want a safe and reliable set up too,im not bothered about chasing numbers.

i think my first upgrade would need to be a esc with a lvc as i know the stock esc doesnt have one, then ill look at other upgrades after that.

              Hi mate,

Grim racer 42x55 is great, adjustable trim tabs are worth their weight in gold for handling and remove the wooden battery trays so you can move your batteries
              forward, especially with lipos.

Its a great begginner boat, get the setup right and you have a *!***!***!***!** load of fun!!!

Also very important use electrical tape on the hatch, this will keep water out for sure

              hope this helps

              have fun Tone

Oh yeah forgot to say make sure if you have a metal prop...

Make sure its balanced an sharpend, a balanced prop is essential for safety and not damaging your motor/drive shaft!

yeh will look into a new prop then, main thing il need/want is a new programmable esc with lvc

its coming with 2x 3700 nimh batteries, extra turn fins added and also adjustable trim tabs

will try get sum pictures up at some point

one thing that worries is availability of parts here in the uk,fe boats arent as popular/as recognised here like the us so hope i can find a gud supplier

would really appreciate any help or suggestions with this boat, like what upgrades are worth getting and maybe how best to set it up

ive heard wizard, diesel and brushless55 are very knowledgable people on these boats so may send them a pm and pick their brains

                      hi mate,

I'm in oz and i order all my parts props an upgrades from Off shore electrics or kintec racing.

They're both based in America but its easy and cheaper for me to order stuff from them on line, and between the 2 you can get

everything you'll need to fully upgrade your boat.

just ordered my lipos but need a replacement esc with lvc,im thinking a 60a esc would be adequate as im not after big power so anyone recommend a gud 60a esc? and if possible where from?

                            Hey mate,

it takes 10 to 12 days for delivery an thats not express, its 3 to 5 days for that!

Customs are not a problem, you should get stuff even quicker in the UK from America.

Look on the off shore electrics site, they got seaking esc's 120amp down to 45amps. Its a great site for supervee stuff.
