I agree use, a cf 45 prop ( thats what I use) and as to ur second question it is normal for the water to get fairly hot, but if your not geting enough cooling to the ESC and mottor you can use this pick up http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...prod=ose-80410Last edited by archuraas769; 07-18-2010, 08:36 PM.Comment

CF props are good, I test with them all the time. I regularly use the 42x55 though. I enlarged the opening of the rudder pickup with a small rat file which greatly help increase the water flow. I currently use dual pickup though.Comment

Welcome to the forum. What part of NC are you located in? Here's a good cut-off http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...hld-32&cat=136. Your going to need to remove the battery trays first and formost and recommended prop is a grim 42x55, try only to run lipos above 4000mah and at least 20c. Wow that sucks couldn't tell you how many runs I had on mine and never had one problem. I run ul-1 power for the last few months, so no lipo shield needed but like I said I never had 1 issue you must of got a bad 1. Sorry for your luck, I still think they are worth the price though.Comment

I had one off these (dimension engineering) fail when my boat crashed and got fully submerged. I sent it back and they replaced mine for free within one week.If all of your wishes are granted, many of your dreams will be destroyed!Comment
