How did you burn up your stock motor? Didn't you just get your boat?

Either the 1900kv which allows a bit bigger prop(m445 etc............) or the 2200 will be fine. The 2200 needs something in the x440-x442 range............................JMO.

        What prop were you running?

Definitely! It'll pull it, but only for 2-minutes or so.

Seems like a lot the emphasis on hitting those magic top speeds on the GPS sure seem to burn down a lot of equipment.

                  Couple of questions and observations...

                  * Is your 45X68 balanced and sharpen or did you put it on right out of the box?
                  * I noticed that you have an after market speed-o. Do you know what timing the controller is set to?
                  * The boat was still running when you brought it in, does the motor still work? (oh, I just noticed you said it lost power).
                  * What kind of battery are you using
                  * What size of connectors are you using on the motor and controller?

It hard to tell in the vid, but the boat didn't "look" to tight to the water. However, 145 is to hot in my opinion and you did run for close to 3 min. If the props stock (NOT balanced and sharpened) it COULD be part of your problem.

When you recharge your battery pack, how many mAh's are you putting back into the pack? The reason I ask is the voltage drop across your run.

Have you ran the boat again with charged batteries?

                          Hi guys
I think the 5000mAh 40c are heavy, not less of 600g if you add a big GPS and a big prop to spin for a lot of time, stock cooling circuit is not enough.
Don't forget that more it is heavy more the ampere are on demand, and more ampere is more heat developed.
If i can give a suggest replace stock motor, it is strong and light, with and a front bearing cooler and add heat compound, the same of CPU beetween motor and motormount and beetween motormount and bearing cooler, first ESC cooling than bearing cooler and than motor
I still haven't any heat problem and i've already try the 45/68 but not with gps,all motor setup is EVER barely warm.
sorry for your dead motor my friend.
                          Giorgio

did you file the water inlet to the rudder?
