waterproofing receiver?

Does anyone know if I waterproof my receiver on my ul-1 with liquid tape will it affect the range of the model. Im asking because tactic receiver have no antenna at all Most 2.4 receivers have like an in. or 2 of some sort sticking out of box that the liquid tape would not affect. Thxs abunch ,
