How many cells or packs do you want to run? Also how fast do you want to go? If you want to stick with something stock get a 7xl but you wont be running a large prop. Also why run a 2 pole motor when you can get a 4 pole that will perform better? Look at this one, same price but 4 pole http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...prod=keda-4074 Or you can get a Tacon 4074 if you dont like the Keda. But if your new to FE boats a Feigao may not be a good choice. Its a good motor. But the Keda/Tacon will perform better and for the same price.

I have been messing around with mine for a while now and i think with this boat you should stick with 4s like i have .... its plenty fast believe me
Leopard 3674 2650 kv with a swordfish 200 and the softest timing setting.
2s2s 5000 40c lipos and an m545 will get you to 60 mph keeping it on the water is the tough part
Airdams, c.o.g, turn fins, numerous props all wont make it an easy boat to stay stable for long over 60 IMO.
Its a great RTR hydro just put a prop and a decent set of bats. in it and enjoy it

Cool do you like running deans and also what size connectors do you run to connect esc and motorComment

Will the deans melt and how do you run in series with bullet connectors or how do you make connections I should askComment

The 5.5s are the way to go but the 3674 leopard has 4 mm connectors and its not good to mess around with the motor cables as some are actually part of the motor windings, i believe you can heat them off and resolder, but i didnt want to mess with them as there seems to be no heat dramas so i leave them alone.Comment

Dont know about melting but they do get mighty warm and series is pretty simple positive of the first battery to esc red wire. negative of first battery to positive of second battery and the negative of the second battery to the black esc wire. Your standard ul1 is wired up this way with the deans connectors. Do a search of the o.s.e store in tips and info to be sure before you do anything, i dont wanna blow up your new lipo's for ya LOLComment
