I was thinking of getting the new spektrum Dx3c for the UL1 are their marine receivers decent? Can the antennas be inside the UL1?

They are great. I use the Spektrum MR200 and MR3000 receivers with my DX 2.0. You won't be disappointed. Range is great and performance is reliable. Thats all you can ask for imho.

Need to run one inside the hull parallel to the water and the other vertical. So you would need to install a mount for the antenna.

You can try it but range test it first and make sure you have your fail-safe programmed properly. Its not how its meant to be used so be careful if you try it.

i run my Spektrum antenna inside the haul in my EKOS and works perfect!
