Stock setup on 40C...anyone using this?

My Max Amps are quickly dying and they cost way too much to replace when these cheap HK packs are available now. I have some Turnigy and Zippy 5000 2s 40Cs Soft Case packs on the way....anybody ran with these yet? How does the stock esc/motor do with them? Any overheating?

They work great. I also use the blue lipo's. Never had a problem.

        yep! all the time
A bizarre incident in the outskirts of an American suburb. It was later revealed the disaster was caused by the T-Virus. A mutagentic toxin created by Umbrella Incorporated for use in bio-weapon experiments. Don't worry the zombies are looking for brains, you're safe.

if they will fit go for it i use the turnigy 5000mah 2s 20-30c batts and they work great but fit tight i think with the higher c rating the batts are slightly larger but like i said as long as they fit your good you should have no overheating issues and you might get a slight boost in performance from the pack with a higher c rating as they can withstand higher amp draws

I have a pair of 30C Venom batteries, 5kmaH. They both puffed up on me, but I also think their deffective. Both batteries 1st cell won't hold juice. I just ordered a couple Rhino or Turnigy (can't remember) packs to replace them.

The C discharge rating of a battery is how much the battery can deliver, doesn't mean your motor/ESC/prop/hull combination is actually using it.

In short: larger C rating is ALWAYS a good thing, unless the battery is too big or heavy for the boat.

Get rid of the DEANS as soon as possible and replace battery and motor connectors with 5.5mm bullets (or bigger). It will save you time and grief in the long term.

I agree that the 5.5mm is the way to go if your using ALL good conductors...but if, like in the case of the UL-1, your using thin 14ga motor/esc wire what difference is it really going to make?

Venom packs of a history of failing, they can not handle the amp load of rc boating. Their not defective their just venom....

The 6000mah Turnigy Nanotechs fit nicely in the UL-1 as well.

having higher C rated packs can actually cause the system to run cooler
if things smoke, the setup was wrong to begin with
