Stock UL-1 motor and controller on 4S....with the right prop will get you there as well...

Stock motor is better, JMO. Drop the strut to a little over an 1" and slap a L40x57 prop on it. You should hit or be close to 50mph, with a simple prop change.

Too much wind and choppy water conditions will make you slow and unstable. Calmer water conditions are lots faster (prop stays in the water).

I find that my UL-1 runs faster on water with slight ripples instead of glass flat. I'm at 45 mph with with the Girm lifter 3 blade S&B, everything is else is stock. I wanna hit the 50 mph mark also. I little more adjustment work and I'll get there.
