    5s lipo on motley crew .

    Im a noob here,I have a motley crew,all stock with a 42/55 prop balance race prep has been done and 5.5 bullets.I want to put 5s lipo on it ,and i have a ccbec laying around. does the batteries need to be in series or parallel.thks for your help.

      Wait a minute. If you have two 5S packs, they must be connected in parallel, NOT in series since that would give you 10S! If you have a 2S pack and a 3S pack, then connect them in series for a total of 5S. Follow the advice in the owner's manual and time a 2 minute run with the new setup to make certain nothing overheats.

        Indeed. I shouldn't assume he's using a 3s and 2s to get 5s. I figured 5s packs wouldn't fit. fluid explained it better than I.

              I have't tried the 5s yet ,but i did go from a grim 42/55 prop to m455 on the mc and man it was worth it!!!!

                I run two 2s, 4s total in mine. If I run 5s total what do I need to know about matching my existing 2s? does the c rating or mAh need to be the saem between the 2s and 3s?

                  The 42/55 prop is only 2.16" pitch the m445 is much higher pitch at 2.48" + being an m series the ears have been removed ( detonqued ).
