No not at all . What I am saying is when it's really hot and the lake is very warm it is a good idea to run less timing . You can always go less timing and not worry about heat , the motor will run cooler . Go more aggressive and things start to heat up . Timing has a big effect on how hot the motor will be and how long it will last . Timing also effects the kv of a motor more timing higher kv . So if you increase timing you are also increasing the kv of the motor and you may need to go down in prop size to keep it running cool . Hope that answers your question ?

Update: Went out today to run, I put a m440 2Blade on and set timing to 11.75 and the boat came alive. Ran for about 2-3 minutes was coming in to check temp's and that's when everything whet south. Got the rescue boat out and got it back to shore only to find prop was GONE! Bought a new one piece shaft here at Ose and it came unglued, Now the Stub shaft, Prop and bullet are at the bottom of the pond. But for the 2 minutes I got to run it it was hauling the mail. Back in dry dock for now. Thanks all for the help.
      Modified Jae21, Stock Jae21, Cheetah, Ul-1, Shock Wave 26 V2 (Rescue Boat).
