    Prop m445

    I just ordered the m445 prop for my new boat I am building. I need some info on a easy to use balancer thats recommended.

    I use a truflight from my lhs works great for me, aout 20.00

      Pretty much all balancers will do a fine job if you use it rite.

          i like the topflight one cause it is a only 20 bucks, but there is a magnetic one that comes with different size shafts, 1/8th, 3/16th, 1/4 for use with different prop hub bores and is what i would get , if i didn't already have the topflight one. The topflight uses a single shaft with tapered "slide nuts" i'll call them which have a tendency to wear.

          I would really like to get a 3/16 shaft for the topflight, but never had success trying to make my own and i couldn't tell ya how to get one.

            Hyperformance make a gd mag one with the different rods for the shaft sizes also here on ode store they have something similar.

              I have used the Topflight for over 10 years, all you need to do is get the "hand prop balancer" from Tower Hobby. It has two tapered alum. nuts on a pointed treaded shaft. Fits 3/16 and 1/4 no problem.
