heres the deal, you want your motors to run between 25,000 and 35,000 rpm. i like mine to be 30,000 to 36000 personally. right in the middle is great at 33,000 or so.
to calculate just multiply motor kv x cell voltage
ex. 11.1 (3s) x 2730kv = 30,303 rpmComment

i think you need to slow down and understand what your doing instead of just impulsively buying stuff and changing your mind every minute. jmoComment

+1.
I like the 28-32K range myself. The higher the RPM the more you need to worry about vibration and wear in the drivetrain.

no I completely understand and agree with you earth. I happen to buy that motor for the recommendation of a local guy at the hobby shop which I should have got on the forms first but I was unaware of this for me to recently. So what I had figured is since I already bought the motor and I got it for such a good deal is that I would go ahead and run it until I got the motor that you guys recommend would be the best for it and if it burns up then it burns up. As last night I was testing out my MG 17 and I think I burned the motor up again.I really don't understand why it would have burned the motor up as I'm running the exact same setup that is in the mini mono motor ESC batteries everything.Comment

I really do appreciate all the advice and I'm going to look at buying one of the motos you recommended and trying to keep the RPM range as you we discussed. To me this is just a project and a lining experience that to be honest is relatively cheap for me. I have always had hobbies setup cost me a lot of money and to be honest with you this one is one of the cheaper hobbies that I have had. Show for me to burn a boat motor or two like I have done at 2030 dollars a motor is really not breaking the bank. But I do understand what you mean and there's no need to waste money when I can get it running properly which that's why I've come to you for the answers. I respect you guys that I've been doing this for a long time greatly and look for advice from you and the wisdom that you have gained over the years and look to further my knowledgeComment

Bradenton (Manatee Co) You should come down on one of our TnT days to ask questions and see many different boats/set-ups in action.
