Lots of info on the net about led wiring. If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps? -
Depending on whether I use a seperate battery (9 volt or 11.1v lipo), I've found that 100 ohm resistors are generally all that are required make the leds work. C doesn't really matter when dealing with led's either because their draw is so much less than a motor or servo for example. Sometimes I will use a seperate battery to power them and sometimes I'll power them from the vehicle(boat/car) battery through the receiver.Comment

I have a small airplane all decked out with a gazillion leds. I use a separate 11.1V 800mah battery. Nothing in my setup regarding resistors. The leds are designed to run on 12V.Mini Cat Racing USA

Some led's are designed to work with 12v without any resistors. But if yours are supposed to be used with 3-4v then you will need a resistor otherwise they burn out very quickly like poof. Depending on what you are doing you can either wire them in parallel or series.Comment
