The prop hopping at the end of the straight tells me you may have slightly too much down angle on the strut. And that hopping creates huge amp spikes, tough on the controller.
Set the B125 to medium starting power and see if that stops the cogging. None of mine have ever done this. Odd. I assume you are not using BEC and that you have disconnected the center wire in the receiver harness.
Also, check your temperature gauge. Five laps with the above setup in the summer means motor and cell temperatures somewhat higher than 80F. And 80C is way too hot.
.then the controler let out smoke from one of the fets. and you are correct about the receiver pack and red wire removed. so did you see anything wrong in the pics Mr Fluid?

well I set the starting power to medium as suggested and it worked.... for 2 seconds, then the controler let out smoke from one of the fets.
Your layout looks okay from the photos, I sent you the pic of the fastest Lifter in the club to compare. Guys in our club run your setup in larger sport hydros using Hacker 70 controllers! I guess you should send your B125 back to Castle but call them first and tell them what happened.

GACK!!! I just do not understand the problem. I have had a total of four B125s and while I did manage to destroy two of them at SAW events none of them ever did what yours do. All of mine were the old style, not the new one with the larger FETs. Which are yours? Did you install the newest firmware off the website?

.This will be the 5th time back to CC and each time before they sent me a new one. I am confused! But this happens only to my 125 not my 80.
