    If they are the battery trays, I would remove them anyway and lay some velcro on the floor. You can get some good 2" wide X 4' long velcro from Home Depot for less than 10 bucks.

      no its not the battery trays, i have already removed those. its two pieces of balsa that run along the hull along the seam.

        I just looked inside mine. Is the crack between those two pieces? If so just leave them in and fill in between with epoxy. If not, remove them, scuff up the area (sand) then apply the epoxy.

          k think i know what to do now. thanks so much for all the tips. What kind of paint should i use to paint the boat when i am done? i plan on re-painting the whole thing
