i had the kyosho sunstorm which held the batteries down the same way. It used velcro on the two ends of the battery, it worked pretty good

can you still take the batteries out to charge them or do they have to stay in the boat to charge them?

Go to your local "WALMART" or what ever you have there, and in the sewing section you can get like 5ft of the industrial stick stuff for about 6$

Uggh I HATE THAT STORE! Seriously!

ah now I see how they go(cell pack), thanks for the pic. on your 'to buy list' put down velcro. seriously you'll be wanting it for ALL your boats it is just so handy. I've used it to mount rx, batts, and esc's. while your solution will work...it does rather limit the amount of run time for the boat(no. of runs per day).
Still waiting for my boat to come in.it came in

eh, doesent really matter to me too much....my charger has a 4 amp charge rate, that charges the batts in less than an hour...besides, i dont like to charge packs when im not home, i like to play it safe...

i finally got the boat to stop bouncing...the batt is further forward, so it balances the boat better and stops the bouncing...but now large amounts of water keep coming in the boat....and i dont even know where...the hatch was taped shut, the stuffing tube was siliconed where it met the transom to seal the hull.....what i dont like is how the stuffing tube is like 10mm and it only uses a 4mm shaft and all it uses to seal it these two littke bushings like 4mm long that "seal up the end of the shaft,,,only problem is that they arent glued in place, so they come loose during the run and besides letting the shaft vibrate, im guessing its where the water is coming in....i also tried the yellow prop and there was no gain in speed, im going back to the stock one..
