    leaking feigao water jacket

    Have just installed feigao water jacket on 9xl and it leaks ! cleaned off sticker and all glue residue thin film of rubber grease on seals no luck. Remember article somewhere on this but cannot find it. Can you legends of elec boating please help?

      Steve its leaking from around the seals on both ends just in one or two places both ends. Hey Steve when are you going to sell a realy good F1 hull as my triton is fun but driving F1 is a blast and need new hull have ts2 but.......

          yeah, theres little indents around the edges that water may be leaking through...

                when i tried to put mine on, one of the seals slipped from where it was supposed ti be and went a few in the jacket....it leaked and i couldnt firgure out why until i took the jaket off....lets just say its not easy trying to get the seal back in the right place....might be the same with yours....

                  No scratches and just looked at seals with magnifying glass and are excelent.

                    did you removed seal (are they O-ring?) from jacket for inspection?

                        O-ring can "roll" as long as you push the jacket in place so what you see might not be what's in contact with the can???

                          Well a miracle has accured, pulled apart regreased scrubbed can again put back together and no leaks ! Go figure. Thanks for the prompt assistance

                            ALWAYS GREASE O-RING!!! never dry-mount!!!
                            Steven, don't know if you've had many "bad return" due to leakage but that's something you may add to the product description... grease o-ring before mounting!
                            believe me, I work for a company that uses thousands of o-rings in our products and we always specify to lubricate them, we use "Parker O-ring Lubricant", you don't want to sell that grease, no one can afford it!

                              eED66677 I greased the orings from the start. I am thinking maybe tiny parts of stiker glue maybe. Twisted on not pushed straight on from start. But now it works so I am very happy
