    shockwave 26 mods

thanks to piranha2, i now have a running shockwave 26...ive only ran it twice and im already thinking of upgrading it....has anyone upgaded any of theirs? if so what did they do....im already thinking of a speed 600 on 8 cells....i also have another motor, esc, prop, and motor mount like the one in the SW...maybe a twin powered one? i have 4 six cell packs so i alreayd have the batts, but close to the base of the wires where they go into the pack, they are exposed (on all 4 packs too)...i already had on spark on me...how do i repair this...i have electrical tape to use in place of shrink wrap, but how do i take apart the batt without having the wires touch...?

you might be able to squeeze the clips togetherthat hold the crimpends in the connector if you were going to shrinkwrap them....otherwise try silicone to isolate them for a quick fix....a 600 and 8 cells? I thought you said you were going to use a lehner 2280 with 32 cells and a 55mm prop???

what I would do about your packs; 1) get some nail polish*(clear, sometimes called hardner) and brush it on the exposed bits, allow to dry. 2)this next bit depends on whether you want to do it right or just a quick fix...2a) strip off the shrink to gain access to the wires, tape them reshrink the packs. 2b) apply goop(rtv) to the wires where you previously applied nail polish, allow to cure(this may take 24-48 hrs).
*if asked why you need nail polish...tell them you need to waterproof a small area :)

should have posted that a bit sooner...i "fixed" the packs already...spread the wires apart and used electirical tape to stick them down and i used silicone to fill the space between the exposed wires to seperate them........

i was thinking, instead of increasing cell count, i could use this motor instead

                        http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...p?prod=dh-9242

would it have enough tourque? i have a attachable heat sink and i could steal the colling system from the cc2...
