I'll second the offshore tape... stuff works great. Electrical tape is also solid but the OSE one sticks the best for me.

Cellpack #128, if there is any curves or texture, Selotape diamond/cristal clear if not.

Sellotape crystal clear/Ultra Diamond for me as well & good old electrical tape for curves. I have hockey tape but dont like it much, Its to thick & i dont think it sticks that great if its cold or slightly damp if your reapplying at the lake. Martin.

I have even used green or blue painters tape, seals good and peels off easy, at least on my UL1.

Just read farther up where somebody mentioned hockey stick tape, thats not the stuff you want to use, stick tape is the white or black (usually) cloth tape, what you want is actually shin pad tape, it's the clear plastic stuff, stretchy and sticks well if things are dry, I've never had that peel paint but I could see the cloth stick tape pulling the finish, as well as leaving a sticky residue. It sticks about as hard as duct tape.
The clear stuff kinda breaks down if you leave it on a boat too long, the plastic comes off but leaves the glue behind.
After the game balls of it make great projectiles in the dressing room! LOL you set a garbage can in the middle of the room and everybody whips their pad tape at it. Grin. Every guy uses about 5 feet per leg.
If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?
