I use good ol' electrical insulation tape. Works great for me!

Walmart sells the clear vinyl electrical tale in the automotive department... $1.79 a roll.

I use electrical too but have also found clear hockey tape works well

I use electrical tape on my monos but haven't had much luck with it on my xzess2. It just didn't hold enough since its clear coated and has let go twice and filled it with water. I think clear hockey tape holds best, just sticks better.

Good old ice hockey stick tape at our club.
The owner of the local ice skating/hocky rink reckons he sells more tape to us boaties than to the ice hockey players.
