Hi Guy's I own a few boats that come with a stock 550 motor and i tested the RPM on one out of my Hammer boat with my RPM checker and it was 17.100rpm @ 7.2V now what i am getting at would this motor be a good hop up for a little more speed at a great price of only $15.99?

Where there any specs for the motor (under load) ?

The RPM rating (no load) does not mean much

But being a 19 turn 600 will allow you the spin a slightly larger prop

Have you had a look at Graupner's line of brushed motors ?

Under load at about 70%, you are at 17k or so. When you measured 17k on your hammer, was that underload or on the bench?

Hi Steve it was on my Ice charger using motor break in @7.2V using a 10 amp supply and I got the RPM readings with no load on the motor nothing conected at all to it.
