    Precision-in-Perfection, (Nimrifmodels)

Not sure if this is in the right place?

Has anyone ordered anything from Precision-in-Perfection? I have e-mailed them twice about the Super Hawaii 215cm hull on the web-site but haven't heard back from them yet??
    Thanks...

I have ordered parts from them and no problem. A friend has ordered two Bingo boats from them and
they were great with him also

You might want to read this thread before ordering anything.

I e-mailed them about 3 weeks ago as well and have heard nothing.

A buisness that uses the web as a means of advertising and sales needs to reply to inquiries.

                Period.

When was the last time that Steve didn't reply to anyones message?

I'm just making RED65 aware that there seem to have been some less than satisfied customers. The more he knows, the better informed his decision will be.

I've never ordered anything from nimrif but I've been in the shop a few times, last time was mid january and he showed no signs of disappearing. He's a funny old stick, first time I went I was after some AF size cells and as he's mainly into petrol offshore boats we quickly established that he had nothing suitable (he does have more electric stuff now) and we were just having a chat about boats when the phone goes, he didn't immediately make a move to answer it so I motioned to the phone, he says 1 sec, walks over to it, picks it up and without stopping to listen to who is on it says sorry I'm busy with a customer and hangs up straight away, i gave him a funny look and he said it was probably someone asking if he can get some helicopter cheaper than the internet and if it was serious they would ring back.
I was amazed that he would risk a potential £1000 offshore boat order for a chat about boats but he says that that's what its all about and dead right he is too, you may have to be persistent if you aren't in the shop though and I haven't seen sign of a computer in the shop and when he isn't in the shop he's either boating or making hardware so calling him or even snail mail is probably better than an E-mail.

At the jewelry store we preach to employees that every customer is important, but to his defense I do give every customer that comes into the store priority over the phone. I figure the walk in customer who takes the time to find a parking spot and come in to see our goods is a bit more serious a shopper, thats ready to buy. But I still can't see answering the phone in that manor.

Can I ask how old you think he was? My father after 40 years of working with retail is getting a bit grouchy.

I agree with you on this as I do get a bit short when I am talking to the person behind the counter and they answer the phone (carry on a conversation) while I am standing there waiting for them to finish. Maybe they figure I am already there and will wait while they real in another sale.
