Carbon or Carbon/Kevlar?

    I was just looking at this stuff last night. The colored Carbon/Kevlar stuff is way cool. I have no first hand experience how this stuff works for what we would use it for. If any one has used this please chime in

          I have not tried the carbon/kevlar yet. I had already purchased the carbon and finally didn't go for the carbon/kevlar. However, I have the feeling that the carbon/kevlar is superior to carbon because it combines the properties of both materials and looks also very cool (red-blue-yellow...)

            I read a comment made by JT in regard to pure carbon fiber construction and RC boats. If memory serves he stated it was very brittle if over used for the application. Hence boats breaking up on blow off and colisions. I have used it quite a bit and find a well finished peice of birch ply will serve you just as well for way less money in most applications. There is no beating the trick look of CF how ever :).

              That would be a very fair assessment. However, must of us do like the "cool" factor! Then we justify the cost with some performance claims, LOL!
