    big upcoming project

building a 75mph plus boat has always been on my to do list.

i've narrowed it down to 2 hulls

    aeromarine avenger pro
    htb360 tunnel hull --- http://www.htbboats.com/htb_360.htm

which would be cheaper to build and get to my 75mph+ goal with.
if i go for the tunnel hull, i want to go for a twin motor set up

    all help is greatly appreciated!!!!!!!

What is your experience with FE boats...what hulls do you own...what FE stuff do you have ...chargers,batteries, ESC, motors, radio etc. ??
    What is your budget

Real and FE are different tho.

If you go with the Tunnel, are you trying to run twin outboards? Or you going to run twin struts?

The Avenger Pro could be done with a twin setup as well, or a BIG EXPENSIVE single.

75mph is EXPENSIVE in FE, unless you're running riggers, then it's not as bad. Neither will be cheap...

You can get there easier with a rigger. Still a top number to hit but you have a better chance with the rigger.

Be ready for flips, tricks destruction and smoke if you are not experiecned. Several SAW racers can tell you how to get there pretty easily.

                let me reword this.

                1. how much will it cost to build the tunnel with twin outboard motors, with servos esc's batts etc...

                2. how much will it cost to build a twin or single motor cat (which ever is cheaper), with servos batts esc's etc

That experience is pretty useless in FE boating. You have been asking the same basic question on several boards since October of last year, and you were given some very good advice at that time. Why do you keep asking the same basic questions over and over? I hate to be blunt, but can you actually afford to build a boat which could cost well over $1000 and a lot of effort?

If you try to start with a $1000+, 75 mph FE boat without experience you will fail, and destroy a lot of equipment along the way. Do yourself a BIG favor and get a Aquacraft UL-1 hydro and learn the basics of FE. Your investment will be under $500 and you will learn a lot. Then when you feel ready, you can sell the hydro for several hundred and start on your big project. Really, start small or you'll never be successful. Really.

Why do you want dual motor setup? You can get 1/8 scale hydro and single motor and go 75 mph. If you have never built brushless setup before, then you can surely expect to burn through $1K - $2K before you get to something that works.

                              1. I've never seen a Tunnel with twin outboards.

                              2. Lehner 3080/8, Schulzes 40.160wk or Hydra 240HV, 12s2p 10,000mah Should definitely get you 55mph if setup properly, and close to 70mph in a Cat. Should also set you back about $3000 plus the boat.
