    I'll bet you thought it was farther than that!!

    And you have the lovely Raritan River nearby as well!! I've spent many an hour rowing on that river when I was on crew at Rutgers College.

      i spun out at 52mph wit my rusty.... cold weather, and wet/icy conditions.... not ideal! and i had no where near enough room for 70 mph..... but it was fun trying not to spinout and hit a curb or car

        fastest i have had one of my boats is a bit over 60mph and at that speed if somthing goes wrong its over before you knew it started. one good thing is if you get used to 60+ mph boats when you go back to your slower (45mph) boats they seem so easy to drive and if somthing goes wrong you can usally catch it
