Here are two of my hydro's the first is a H&M Viper II and the other is an OSE Raider Hydro. I am in no way knocking your setup at all. I am interested to see what your results are. I hope it all works out for you.

It looked like in the vido on there web page they toasted a ESC but it was a smaller one I thought.
I think Aveox 36/30/1.5 is just perfect for your setup, i used to have same set up in my H&M Lifter about 26", i hit 45+mph with 12 Elite 4300 Nimh cell, x642 mod, with lipo add more weight is needed and go faster
btw, your esc is plenty for Aveox motor.
      Neu 1520?? you mean 1512?

Can you post the pics again they are small. the ice will be here for 20 to 25 week still. But try my set up in your boat and tell me if you can go around 180 degree turn faster or not. I used to put my nitro tank in the right sponson and that sponson was 30% smaller than the left becouse it is on the inside of the turn and all the G force was on the out side. try it and let us all know.

            Old guy,
hehe i feel kinda funny calling you "old guy", do you have a name? btw, Sir.... your Aveox motor will not faster than your current setup about +/-7-8 mph slower BUT its will give you at least 3 mins running time, your current set up will burn almost everythings even a Hydra240 in flame from no time, basiclly just forget about your current setup.
3019kv hacker on 3s will work as well, but its will be the same or less speed than your Aveox, i know its has more rpm but way less torque (3cells v.s 4cells, 2poles motor v.s 4 poles motor) PLUS, you will need more weight if you want to go faster, so ..... why not go for what you already got (Aveox 19xx kv, 4s lipo) which is just perfect.
btw, trust me, you will have more than fun with 45+mph in that lil hydro
i dunno what you mean by "number" but here:
Oval or sport FE setup power should be around 27-33k rpm
            motor 12s 2958kv x 14.8v = 43,778rpm = NO, NO....NO
            motor 12l 2084kv x 14.8v = 30,843rpm = perfect
            Aveox 1.5 1920kv x 14.8v = 28,534rpm = perfect (4 poles motor = more torque, means swinging more agressive props)

Thanks Kevin for the info My name is Rick. I have 2 of the Aveox 1.5 I was going to put them in a cat but I have a nitro motor that will work in the cat. now I need to find a water jacket for it I will have to ask Steven here if he has one that will fit.
Ok now so what prop should I start with and how much can I mod it? how do you know Paddy

                Rick,
with Aveox motor, i won't bother it with x440, let start it with x442 then x642, about the water jacket, nothing aloy will fit into the case, i used silicone water jacket from OSE, they do the job just fine
btw, try to move all the weight up front as possible then start moving them back if the boat running too wet, but personally, i dont think you will move the weight ...back
enjoy your project, keep us posting

Ok thanks Kevin. What about a air dam would this help this out or is this a good boat that does not need one? And I was told to put my lipos on the other side of the boat but to me that is not right but I'm old school what is your opinion on this?

i would try to put the battery in middle (back of the motor) all the way up front, as far as you can, the esc and place on top of the motor or something, just dont worry about air dam for now, your boat might or might not need it.
one more thing, i see all your power wires is a lil too long, cut them short as you can to reduce amp draw, i mean the 3 wire from motor to esc and 2 wires from esc to battery.
